Q: Can I reserve items?

A: The only way to book one or more items is to place an order online. Blackview does not make reservations by phone or email.

Q: How do I find my IMEI number?

A: This can be found on the outside of the box where you received the equipment.

If the box is not available, type on the smartphone using the keyboard "*#06#" and a pop-up with the IMEI will appear.

You can also go to settings, enter “About” and you will have the option to select the IMEI information.

Q: How to use the Rugged-Phone underwater camera/video mode?

A: Unlock the smartphone, scroll down the status bar on the top of the smartphone to find the underwater camera menu and click on the underwater camera to enter the underwater shooting mode;

Underwater mode disables the touchscreen and the three buttons at the bottom of the screen. All menus in this interface are the default camera mode menu. If you need to adjust, exit underwater shooting mode and adjust it to normal mode.

Use the volume up button to take a photo or start/stop a video;

Click the volume down button to switch between photos and videos.

Press and hold the volume down button for 1-3 seconds and release the button to switch between the front and rear cameras.

Press the side power button to exit the underwater camera.

Q: How do I use custom smartphone buttons?

A: This button allows you to open a specific application by short press, long press or double click on the "Programmable" button.

Boot into the setup menu, swipe down to “Smart” and open the option;

Short press, long press or double click to enter setting shortcut operation to open menu list; (enable recording, flashlight, screenshot, underwater camera, etc.)

Short press, long press or double click to enter settings to open application, set to open any smartphone application;

Note: Only one option can be used at a time.

Q: What does “Non-incendive: Class 1 Division 2, Grade AD, T4” mean?

A: 1. Zone 2 (or Div 2) is a location where an explosive atmosphere is not likely to occur in normal operation, but if it does occur, it will only persist for a short period (< 10 hours/year).

  1. T4 references the maximum temperature the smartphone will reach. This smartphone is rated T4, which means the smartphone temperature will not exceed 135°C.
  2. Group AD refers to types of hazardous gases.
  3. TAMB refers to the upper and lower ambient temperatures at which the smartphone is approved for use and remains classified as non-flammable. For Blackview Rugged Phone, this range is -10°C to +55°C

Q: What is the hazardous area classification for Blackview?

A: Non-flammable: Class 1 Division 2, Grade AD, T4.

(Do not charge, connect or remove anything from your smartphone while in hazardous areas.)

Q: How do I solve when the sound quality is bad?

A: There are several contributing factors that can affect your device's audio performance:

The most common cause of poor sound quality is water in the microphone or speaker.

If the handset has been subjected to immersion in water, the microphone and speaker may need to dry to resume normal functionality.

You, or the other person you are talking to, may be in a bad signal area. Try moving to a different area.

You may have dirt/debris covering the microphone or speakers. If so, clean the device.

Q: How can I back up data to an external storage device?

A:To transfer files from your smartphone to PC/Mac:

Connect your Blackview to your PC/Mac via USB cable.

In Blackview's notification tray, tap the "Use USB to" notification and select "Transfer files".

Blackview will now be visible on PC/Mac.

Open Blackview via PC/Mac to explore the files.

Copy anything to the PC/Mac you want to backup.

Note: Alternatively, back up to a MicroSD™ card by inserting one into Blackview. Copy the files to it using your chosen file explorer application.

Q: How do I clear browser cache and history?

A: Launch the Chrome application.

Click on the menu icon in the upper right corner (three vertical dots).

Click on "Settings".

Click on "Privacy".

Swipe down and tap "Clear browsing data".

Select the time range you want to clear.

Select which data (browsing history, cookies and site data, and cached images and files) you want to clear.

Under "Advanced" you have more options to clear saved passwords, form data and much more.

Click "Clear Data".

Q:How can I transfer data to another device via Bluetooth (eg an image)?

A: Locate the file you want to share from your device. If you only want to send one item, for example a photo, tap it and then tap the share icon.

Select the option to share via Bluetooth.

Choose which Bluetooth enabled device you want to send the file to.

Accept the input file on the target device.

Q: How can I customize notifications, sound and vibration for incoming messages?

A: Launch the Messaging application. Then inside the application, open the “settings” menu, swipe down to the “Notifications” section. Select the "Sound" menu to select the desired sound and next to "Vibrate", check to enable/disable vibration for incoming messages.

Q: What do the different LED colors mean?

A: Flashing red – Low battery warning below 15% battery level.

Solid Red – Battery level is between 1% and 99% and charging.

Solid Green – Battery is fully charged.

Blinking blue – Indicates that you have received a notification (unread message, missed call, email, etc).
